"Note that this package does not contain any Windows 3x driver for the 82371. For that you shall have to use drivers which may be found [among other places] in a Compaq "softpaq", # SP1692.EXE

"Personally, I recommend that you stick with the default Windows IDE driver. I tried this, and it didn't really help much. Learn from my experience.

However, it's worth a try if you're a hardware enthusiast, but if you're a normal user, avoid this one unless you need it."

"This Driver is listed as being for multiple operating systems which are NOT valid...this driver is only for Win95 and WinNT.

Also from the read me:

1. The system must contain a supported Intel processor and chip set

configuration:

Chip set: Intel 430FX, 430HX, 430TX, 430VX and 440FX chip sets.

Processor: Intel Pentium(R), Pent
