Additional Notes
In the case where earlier versions of VIA USB 2.0 (with VT6202 or VT6212 chip)would not install correctly onto XP SP2,try this driver. It worked for me!

How to Install a driver from Device Manager
Locate the device and model that is having the issue and double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
Select the Driver tab.
