"Although it's stated only to work upto XP and is not available/supporterd on the HP site, it works on Windows 7.

You do have to set the IP adress manually first, and than startup the computer again and than you can set the IP adress to automatic."

"Makes all the software for this scanner work great. My scanner may be old because I get strange vertical white bands across the scanner. More of a problem with photos. Hardly ever scan photos so never paid any attention before."

How to Update Realtek RTL8139/810X Family Fast Ethernet NIC Device Drivers Quickly & Easily

  • In Windows Vista, click Start -> Control Panel -> System and Maintenance -> Device Manager

  • In Windows XP, click Start -> Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance -> System -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager button

How to Install a driver from Device Manager

  1. Locate the device and model that is having the issue and double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  2. Select the Driver tab.

  3. Click the Update Driver button and follow the instructions.
