This is what I did to get it going (winxp home)

Download to hard drive

scan file for virus

plug wireless adaptor into usb port

make profile that you want to run adaptor from an administrator account

logon as that profile

run file (it uninstalled prev version)

run file again (installs driver)

windows detects new hardware.

let wizard run, selecting don't connect to internet and automatic

unplug and replug the zydas usb adaptor

zydas launches itself. click on icon in system tray (right hand end of task bar)

adjust settings (old settings were lost)

when it works change profile type from administator to limited user(for internet security) or whatever privileges you usually run your computer on.

Not sure how much of this process with user profiles was

"very occasionally the pc freezes, just pull out usb lan card and plug back in and all is well again"

How to Install a driver from Device Manager

  1. Locate the device and model that is having the issue and double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
