This software upgrades the ROM firmware for a Compaq computer in the Deskpro 4000 and 6000 series with a 686G6 family ROM. To determine the ROM family and date, run F10 Setup. To update the ROM, use the SoftPaq to create a ROMPaq diskette. Turn your computer off, place the ROMPaq diskette in drive A, then turn the computer on. Follow the instructions that are displayed on screen to complete the procedure that installs the new Compaq System ROM on your computer.
