"I was (and still am) looking for a driver for an old Matrox MGA II PCI video card. It seems that it does not exist. At least for anythig later than Windows 95. I will try to install an Windows 95 machine in order to identify the video card, and then try to upgrade OS to Windows 98, Windows 2000 and Windows XP."

How to Update Matrox Graphics MGA Impression Plus PCI Device Drivers Quickly & Easily

  • In Windows Vista, click Start -> Control Panel -> System and Maintenance -> Device Manager

  • In Windows XP, click Start -> Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance -> System -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager button

How to Install a driver from Device Manager

  1. Locate the device and model that is having the issue and double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  2. Select the Driver tab.

  3. Click the Update Driver button and follow the instructions.
