"This download package, worked, but not completely. I was able to install all of the PCI drivers for this sound card [C Media 8330], under the Windows XP environment, but it failed to install the "CMI8330/C3D Audio Adapter" driver. Without this install, it causes the sound card to distort the audio sound output."

Audio works, but has hum/grinding sound in background, gets louder w/ hard drive activity. I'm giving up on this & installing a Yamaha soundcard I've got laying around"
