"Installed this on a Gateway laptop with Creative SB PCI64V EV1938 audio chipset. As GW doesn't offer a Win XP driver for this and as Windows XP doesn't recognize the device, the downloaded driver filled the gap and works great. Many thanks, DriverGuide!"

"you have to remove driver before updating some files are missing but the instructions address this issue also you have to switch to analog settings and reboot works fine then"

"I had to completely uninstall my non-working driver prior to installing this one. I could not simply choose "update driver".

To install, simply unzip to a good folder. Then uninstall previous hardware. Go to install new hardware, and specify the folder that you unzipped this file to. You should be in business."

"This driver is not complete. And does not work. During the install, Windows XP kept asking for files that were not there. Its like the download ZIP file was not complete"
