"I downloaded this file to install a Dell A940 I was given on a Compaq Presario 2100 laptop, and will also be installing it to a Gateway X500 desktop. I was a bit concerned that the description of the file stipulated it was for the Dell Dimension series, as my experience with Dell in the past is that it is VERY POOR in supporting hardware manufactured by its competitors. wever, it installed very easily and passed with flying colors all the initial tests I ran using the Presario laptop. It remains to be seen if I will get the same results with the Gateway."
