"i plugged in the camera first and then tried to install the driver, that didnt work, the trick is to uninstall the camera, install the driver, then plug the camera back in. it will install like a dream then."

"This worked perfectly! I have a trv350 and my dell running xp couldn't read the pixela disk at all. Sony told me I had to purchase a new one. I bought Ulead Video Studio 7.0 instead thinking I could get just the USB driver from the Sony site. Let's just say Sony has the worst support I've ever seen -- great camcorder, no customer service skills. This went in without a
