Win 95-98-NT-2000-XP jumper or driver settings

This CDROM drive supports UDMA mode and the default setting is disabling UDMA. Jumper must be set to 3 pin from left should be their by default but mine was not, it caused problems reading disks until it was in place or udma mode was enabled.

For Windows98 users, you can enable UDMA mode by removing a jumper on the rear panel.

For Windows95 users, it is better to select standard mode (non UDMA) for system stability issue. However, if it is

necessary for you to set to UDMA mode, we recommend to install the UDMA driver which came with your

motherboard. If you have further problem, please contact your motherboard supplier for an update UDMA driver.

"This driver worked just fine with Win XP. The installation isn't automatic. I had to back out once to find the path for mscdex, then start the install again. But once it installed my CD drive worked great. Can't speak to the stability of it, since I just intalled it about 30 minutes ago!"
