"Windows error message says this file not tested by Windows XP and if used will likely cause system to malfunction sooner or later. Don't know if this is true or not, but didn't want to risk a system shut down now or some time in the future. If anyone used it with XP without problems, please let the rest of us know."

"The installation is good -- with an asterisk. I used WinZip to unzip the file, which it did. But unlike some driver installations that I've done in the past, this one does not install on its own. You must find the folder to which the downloaded file was unzipped, look through the contents of the unzipped file, and then run the setup file. Once you do that, it's a snap.

but the driver only worked for audio output, the mic input handling was very poor, couldn't use for chat or voice recording."

"The only one that I can recommand for use with Windows XP. The driver is stable, although the warning which windows has given that my computersystem may become unstable, which is not true.

Might be a normal standard procedure for informing users of windows XP."

"After I formatted my HDD, my modem and sound card did not work.

I opened the PC cover, and took note of the modem and sound card's manufacturer (you can find it on the main chip).

Then I tried driverguide. It is perfect now. DRIVERGUIDE rescued my life.

Try it if you have the same problem."
