"Have found a piece of software that is capable of resetting your locked region code in the form of "WinDVD" marketed by intervideo , I downloaded the free trial version from "Intervideo" on the net (just ask browser to find WinDVD ).In the "preferences" part of the software , it shows you what region your drive is set to , and you can change that by "apply" and "ok" , its

"it did not work for me because my sriver software is newer than this firmware flash.The trouble I have is playing DVD's , the soft-dvd software is Zoran , and I have found from thatmy drive too is locked on region 1(US/Can)instead of UK .How to change it?.Anyone know if it is software , or hardware set , and the cure please."

"Downloaded this file, But, it did not work! Mod#DV-5700B I get an error saying, "Unable to initalize Driver". DVD is only 6 months old. How can I get to play movies."

"Have anyone found out/ or have the sofeware or drivers that allow you to burn data disk with the Movie Maker software that ND-1300 comes with. HELP!!!!!!! My drive can't be seen/recognize as a DVD drive."

"My dvd is not working I installed the driver for it NEC DV-5700A. I can't get it to eject or open.. When new driver was installed it flashed when rebooted then wouldn't do anything after it finished booting up.. HELP"
