"I was given a new Vantas 3000 scanner still in box, but the driver packaged with it did not function well in XP. Downloaded replacement driver for Vantas 3000 in XP and it worked very well. Easy to install and works every time now; it was intermittent with packaged driver for XP (don't know why)."

"Seems to work with my old Gateway Laptop. The original instalation cd that came with the scanner badly crashed it when it had Win 2000"
