Driver is to load cdrom drive in Gateway P3C. Operating systems supported DOS and Windows 3.x The driver came from the Gateway support site, but it never seemed to work. Then I found that the problem with the SOLO 2000's (P3C) not reading the driver is in the Autoexec batch file on the original Gateway boot disk. You need to edit the autoexec batch file to delete the loadhigh command for mscdex in DOS. Mscdex should not be loaded high. Simply delete the LH part of the line. VOILA. It worked. It took me a year, off and on, to get this figured out. Good luck. It was a challenge I'm delighted to share.
