"If used with Seagate Backup Exec, a Tpad T30 would just blow up with blue screen white letters and memory dump. In Pent II 400 MHz, machine would return to POST when tried to access the drive ?!?!

Dropped back to checkpoint and installed driver WITHOUT Seagate Backup Exec. Tried to use it with Windows's Backup program. It "saw" the tape drive but could

"Unzipped the driver - did a Add new hardware and selected HAVE DISK - XP did not see the driver for me to select it. Not a good download for XP users."

"Driver is NOT for XP (Home or Pro). It is mislabeled. Will lock-up system when software is executed. Do not use for XP."

"They describe this file as a driver for win XP but the whole thing including the read mes never mention Win Xp only win 2000.
