"I wanted to try this webcam (Logitech QuickCam VC) on WinXP. The driver worked and my security did not detect any gremlins. Note that I did not try it with the old software but with software from a newer webcam. This camera does not support all of the features of the software and will crash if attempting something alien to it."

"This driver fixed the larger problem - the QuickCam Pro USB not working at all. However, either it is unstable and/or there are other HW/SW issues. The system is highly unstable when using Microsoft Windows Live Messenger. Once the web cam is used the system sees it as either in use or not installed."

"The install was ok and it worked well with other programs, except the one that came with the cam. I am still trying to find a program that will allow me to snap a pic or record a video for emails. It's the program that came with the cam that does not work with XP."
