Make sure you read the readme file for this driver supposedly this drive has to be the master on the secondary ide for it to work at all.

I spent a lot of time looking for this driver so hopefully someone else wont have to.

"Although it works I don't recommend this "driver" because it's a FIRMWARE UPGRADE. It should be applied ONLY by people who KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING!!! Otherwise you may destruct your drive totally."

"fairly worthless... go get MtkWinFlash and update with the bin file on the 1.03 update"

"This is not a driver! Is a firmware upgrade (ROM UPGRADE) for the LG GCC-4320B Combo Drive.

A ROM upgrade is like a BIOS upgrade, but in this case for the cd-rom. Use with care, it can turn unusable de cd/dvd drive."

How to Update gcc-4320b Device Drivers Quickly & Easily

  • In Windows Vista, click Start -> Control Panel -> System and Maintenance -> Device Manager

  • In Windows XP, click Start -> Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance -> System -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager button

How to Install a driver from Device Manager

  1. Locate the device and model that is having the issue and double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  2. Select the Driver tab.

  3. Click the Update Driver button and follow the instructions.

In most cases, you will need to reboot your computer in order for the driver update to take effect.
