"Hi there I tried all these steps but it doesn't work, it says that bios can't be flashed if hymen is running, I tried deleting the memory managers but there aren't any (in the MS startup disk. I don't know what else to do....this is like chino for me, could you give some more detail info about where to get io.sys, msdos.sys on windows XP and the procedure to follow please

"It works fine. Just don't use a windows ME boot disk. Which is what Windows XP produces, as himem seems to be build it. BTW where is a command line switch for turning off the Himem check on the Patching program."
