"Downloaded to a folder named 'Drivers'in my Program Files. In device Manager selected the audio device and update driver. The wizard took me through the process where I could specify where the driver was, however it refused to acknowledge the driver. So at this stage I cannot make any comment as windows xp does not know how to open a .rar file."

"I have the CDs that came with my used Audigy2 sound card, but a lengthy installation left so much garbage on my system, and such a noticeable additional drain on my limited memory, that I wanted something more basic.

This driver works perfectly. I also followed the suggestion of an earlier poster to remove CThelper and regserv32 from msconfig, with no consequences.

"this is a basic sound driver. all extended stuff (eax consoles...) are missing. It works stable and good. if you just want the pure, basic driver, get this one."

"Easy installation and worked right away. There is just one disadventage, which I don't like. It's making two entries in autostart: cthelper (plug-in manager for Creative drivers) and regsrv32 (for recording and home project studios. Required if you use this functionality). I disabled both and had no probs on my system."

"This driver did not download properly. Later when I went to access the driver, it could not be found. I am an expert with my operating system and the fault is not my own. Get it right people!!!!!"

"The installation was automatic. I had previously downloaded two drivers from Creative Lab's website that matched my model number. These were both updates and neither would install because they couldn't find compatible hardware (!!). This driver installed and works perfectly."

"I was looking for this driver for 4 dayz.I used creative audigy2 sound card for my home studio.I wasnt happy for all the 4dayz.I checked on google,creative.com they dont have it.I used serial number and model but still no nice answer.Now Im cool.I'll go bac to studio"

"The good man that uploaded this should be canonized! It works like a charm. The only poor feature is that you have to point manually to the driver from the device manager (which can be tricky for unexperienced users)"
