"had to unzip twice; used XP version; had to restart and reinstall; then when using Add/Hardware had to explicitly point out the EUSBMSD.sys file; dunno why; nota smooth installation but it worked eventually; otherwise so far so good"

"It used to work but over the months, the device became obsolete. When the manufacturer stops updating the drivers and software, there is no choice but to eventually toss the thing in the trash because it will cause errors. On this computer I'm currently running WinXPProSP2 and it did cause problems. It also had the same result on two other PCs of mine. Both of those PC

s had several instances where they messed up and were repairable but the damage kept getting worse and worse. This is my last time using the device.....Good Luck to everyone unlucky enough to have bought this reader. Get rid of it soon....for your own good!"

"The driver works excellently. The install needs more detailed instructions. For instance the driver folder is zipped within a zip file require two unzips and then copying and pasting the four components to the root of C:

Double clicking the zip folder does not self install. This is a manual install.

A reboot may be necessary and the device may need to be disconnecte

"Installed on XP SP2 desktop and an older W2K workhorse. The driver is not Microsoft-"certified" so to install, you have to accept "as is". It is stable and best of all, it works. Thanks, Driverguide!"

"It was a bit scary for anyone who'd read Mad Magazine as a kid to download something provided by A.E. Newman. However, the installation went smoothly and -- based on a single attempt (so far)-- everything is working fine."
