Additional Notes

This bios upgrade worked for me, it enabled my bios to be ACPI compliant and I was able to install Windows XP.

After a lot of searching, I got this bios upgrade from the Gegabyte website. One of their motherboards uses this bios model, so I figured it should work with any motherboard brand that uses the same bios model. And I was right, thank GOD. My bios info is: BIOS Type: Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG

BIOS ID: 03/23/1999-i440BX-8671-2A69KG0DC-00.
