"I have had an HP 4100C scanner for almost 10 years. It worked perfectly until I upgraded to XP. It then stopped scanning, and gave an error 2117. I tried on and off to find drivers that would make it work with XP, and was about to recycle the scanner...when I decided to give it one last shot. My scanner is now working!
