"It's a sys file and in order to install one needs a zip or exe file. Couldn't install.

You can't just stick it in its respective windows folder and expect your drive to pick it up and make it part of the driver files. Besides, driver files are inf."

"I tried this driver too. the result was the same as the other driver. conclusion, my combi drive is useless and thats only after13 months use."

"This is the newest driver in the bunch, if you tried to update your cd-rw software using roxio to creator 5 or higher you must have this driver. any driver with a version number lower than 5.x.x.xx will not work with Windows XP , if I can get the ver 6.x.x.xx I will post it here as everyone that has tried all the others will find this is the only one that will work with Ro
