"Ultimately was successful. Conversion from Win 98 to Win XP caused scanner not to work, and some files were deleted. Couldn't reinstall original software for 6100usb, as install program refused under XP. Trick was to go to Device Manager, click on scanner listing, install new driver, have disk, then point to location where this file was unzipped to. Works great now!"

"Install was a nightmare! Had to combine XP and 2K drivers because not all needed files are in either of them. Also had to hunt for additional install info because this is not your typical driver install. You basically have to trick the system. Don't remember all of the details or where I found them but they are out there, keep searching"

"Tried to setup the driver according to instructions but... nothing happened! I simply gave up on that scanner!!"
