"It did not work with my Compaq laptop. During the installation process I got a message saying that the file SynTPLpr.exe was missing. I checked in the unzipped folder and found that it is really missing."

he basic synaptics touchpad driver, both of which were as ill-mannered as the one ibm offered, and risked self-induced alopecia over not even being able to find help online. i thank the kind soul who uploaded this older driver. newer is NOT always better."

"I think the driver was only for win95/98 so its didn;t work with xp
