Warning Firmware update
I had a problem with a CD-R/RW drive recognised as ATAPI CD-RW 40/12/48X by the computer and that didn't work with my writersoftware. There was no visible manufacturer name on the drive there was only the model number ( CW-4001 ).
After updating the firmware of the drive it was known as MSI CD-RW MS-8340S and it has worked well since.
