"I received an Audigy card for Christmas and was so thrilled to finally replace the 5.1 Live! card. The 5.1 Live! would run ok with the drivers that came with the install cd, but trying to update them, was hit and miss at best. I had the card for about 5 years and it never really worked that well. "you must have the original installation for it to work properly. for SB Extigy, run the file. when you get the error "no sb extigy found" before cliking on ok or cancel, you go to documents and settings/"your folder"/local settings/temp a temp dir is made i think its cf0.. you can always close the install while your temp folder is open then re-run it ag

"So far" so good, I just downloaded this driver recently and it seen to to be running fine on my system. I was given this card from my brother which had no software to come with it. Went to the creative lab site but they didnt offer this perticular driver so you guys were a life saver"

"to be fair I'm sure the driver works perfectly well. It won't however work if you have an OEM creative SB 5.1 (SB0220). These cards seem to be creative only in name and other drivers are required"

"I was working with Windows ME, but I was not

satisfied with the OS. So I installed Windows XP

but I didn't have the driver for XP. So I searched

for it for some time and I found it. It works great for me. Now I can use the soundblaster again."

"The ratings do not fit this case. I can't say that the problem was with the driver. The card itself may have been defective or incompatible with the hardware. The computer is an older one I'm trying to refurbish for a friend. The card is a Creative Live! Value I bought a year ago. The New Hardware Wizard allowed me to choose Creative and then selct Live! Value, but it did
