"This is just what I was looking for. I had lost my com 3 port that my usb to serial cable was on. And the original drivers would not load. This did the trick.

"Installed fine on XP using the 2K driver, got the normal message that it is not XP certified. Driver allows the selection of which com port to use."

"This is for a very old beige-colored Radio Shack USB-to-Serial converter. Visa identified it as VID_1453&PID_4026.

Heres how to install it:

a) Download the file "260-0183.exe"

b) Execute this file -- it is a self-extractor -- it asks you where you want to put the files; say c:\RadioShackUsbToSerialDriver.

c) Then go to the device mangler and tell
