"Remember to uninstall and disable in BIOS any other or integrated sound driver first. Then plug in card and install driver and reboot. The SB16 PCI card is relatively low-end in quality and is relatively noisy even if installed in a PCI slot furthest away from the video card."

"I can recommend Soundcards from Creative labs.

Good experience with drivers.

In the years of 1994 to 2004 the driver quality

was good, that the audio quality was improved

gradually"
