"If you download this driver to be used with Skype read carefully:

The driver will install normal (provided your system is ok) but in Skype it will tell you that the driver is busy used elsewhere.

I use a small but nice (loads and unloads quickly) program to edit pictures that is freeware called Irfanview. With it you can test this driver. All you have to do is instal

l irfanview and ACQUIRE (i.e. /file/acquire/stv673) (Askey must have changed the driver name sometime from VC050 to STV673) and you should see yourself in irfanviews window. With that you now know it is installed and running.

Skype customer support suggests using a small utility when you get the busy diag. It is called splitcam and its url is splitcamera.com. Download it; install it; run it; exit IE. Then open Skype. You should see something.

Caveat: the driver may keep your system from going into standby mode.
