"I have an IBM R40 laptop. Both Windows device manager and the ATI installer didn't wanna go with this laptop. BUT - forcefully installing it through device manager (after having unpacked the .EXE file with totalcommander) allowed it to work 100% OK :)"

"It neede some modification during installation as specified in the site, it was perfect and solved my problem, I tried many drivers and they were all chaming my PC, but with this one, it is working perfectly..

"Didnt detect it right away! INF error. Said I should have installed some vga driver first.

Yet when you manually try a few of the drivers int he package, i finally got my card to work. (for me it was the first inf file, second last driver)

"This driver didn't work for me with a Dell Latitude C540/640 series laptop fitted with the Mobile Radeon 7500v6.14.1.6292 or at least that is the driver that finally got it working (auto update from MS) I cannot see any reason for it being a fault on my part with the loading of the file but it cannot be ruled out."

"So, this driver is from 2004, it is working fine with Compaq Evo N410c with Radeon Mobility M6 (7200 core), this driver has Software TnL, but the older driver from 2002 is more compatible with games."

"installed well as long as you have the XP standard vga driver loaded first. worked well with the ATI overclocking utility from 180 to 300 and increased the refresh rates that were very noticable. No problems even with Sp3."
