Updating BIOS Procedures

Create a bootable system floppy disk.

Download the FLASH.EXE and copy FLASH.EXE to the just created boot disk in step 1.

Download an updated ASRock BIOS file (WinZip format with .zip file extension) from the web site, unzip the BIOS file and save to the disk you created in step 2.

Boot from the disk you created in step 3.

At the "A:\" prompt, type FLASH, hit space bar once, and type BIOS file name then press <Enter>. For example: A:\FLASH K7VT2_1.20 <Enter> then you will see a message "Please wait for BIOS loading ROM".

After 1 minute, you will see the message "Flash ROM Update Completed - Pass", then you have finished upgrading the BIOS.

How to Update P4i45D+ Device Drivers Quickly & Easily

  • In Windows XP, click Start -> Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance -> System -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager button

How to Install a driver from Device Manager

  1. Locate the device and model that is having the issue and double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  2. Select the Driver tab.

  3. Click the Update Driver button and follow the instructions.

In most cases, you will need to reboot your computer in order for the driver update to take effect.
