1. Unplug the camera.

2. Download FreedomXP2K.exe to the desktop.

3. Double click the FreedomXP2K.exe file.

4. Click on the unzip button, it will create a new folder on the desktop called FreedomXP2K.

5. Double click the FreedomXP2K folder and double click on the setup folder.

6. Locate the Setup.exe icon (looks like two arrows), and double click on it.

7. Click next through the Wizard to complete installation of drivers. After installation of the drivers, it will ask to restart. Click Yes, I would like to restart the computer.

8. Click finish to restart the computer.

How to Update VistaCam Freedom LX Device Drivers Quickly & Easily

  • In Windows XP, click Start -> Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance -> System -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager button

How to Install a driver from Device Manager

  1. Locate the device and model that is having the issue and double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  2. Select the Driver tab.

  3. Click the Update Driver button and follow the instructions.

In most cases, you will need to reboot your computer in order for the driver update to take effect.
