"I needed the drivers for this soun card because I had to format my PC and didnt remember where I put the cd driver, I downloaded this file and I must admit I didnt know how to install it at first, but then I thought it a little bit and I did this: went to My Pc, right click, Properties, Hardware tab, Device Manager,Soundcard devices or Other Devices, Right Click and proper

"Had to reload WinXP on an older Sharp laptop acquired from Japan, didn't have the sound driver. After installation, I cranked the volume up all the way (both in Windows and on the unit) and still could only get sound (played a CD) VERY weakly through the headphone jack--speakers were working prior to installation, still not sure what's up."

"works for the CT4730 sound blaster card with EV1938 chipset

Winxp will ask for the driver but an error will occour after the inital installation of these drivers.

Go into device setting under control panel/system and reinstall the same driver again.

This was the only way I got it to work.
