"Driver down loaded and installed with absolutely no trouble at all. Checked for functionality under Windows `98 SE Control Panel, Modems and was operating normal."

"The driver worked great and the upgrade driver from (HP)Compaq for v.90 was not needed. What a shame a company as large as that cannot see the value in customer service by keeping this driver avalible for leagacy hardware."

"I have dl'ed a bunch of drivers but this one WORKS. Presario 1210 laptop w/ modem FCC # cntta-24639. (Apparently a Lucent "WinModem")... WHATEVER!!! It fixed my 1210 notebook with 98 SE like a CHAMP!! Thanx, I STILL love Driverguide.com !!"

"Thats Compaq for you make it so you have to use their computers with their hardware or do with out (Compaq Sucks) but thanks Dude was a life saver"

"I have a 56k WinModem for a Compaq Presario with the Spares number 292269-003. It has the Lucent chip on it, but I couldn't get it to work in a Asus TX97 board and Win98SE even with this driver. Thanks, anyway!"

"Richard, this was an answere to my prayers. I'm glad you made this so easy to download and use. I saw another driver that was listed as 28.8/33.6kb modem with the same Compaq Part number. I still can't make heads or tails of the driver files listed on the Compaq CD but I knew that my modem was running as high as 51.3k and this one fits the bill just fine. Good Work!& t
