"Hi folks ! Hints and FQAs:

I was upset looking for a driver of the OnBoard Soundchip on my mainboards and my sound cards (Win 98 and Win XP). I found this driver collection on a slow server from mainboard distributor Chaintech (file is now offline). This file size is about 160 MB !

It contains all CMI drivers (v2.96) for all operating systems.

"READ THE SUMMARY!

You have to rename the downloaded ..Part2 / ..Part3 / ..Part4.ZIP files to ..Part2 / ..Part3 / ..Part4.RAR in the same directory as the ..Part1.EXE file.

Then run the Part1.EXE File in a Windows environment.

RAR upload was not allowed when files were uploaded, so I used this method of renaming files to bring it on the server.

"I wasn't even able to download the files becaue there were not enough sites to download from. I strongly recommend these drivers if you're useng an AMD -2/k-6 500 mhz processor with on board devices. They should work well if you're able to download them."

"This file did nott unzip, and another site says that a part1 file executed this one and two others. Large sizes too."
