Packard Bell Diamond 1200 plus scanner driver

This driver will provide basic functionality for the scanner under Windows XP. It will not install any additional software like the CD that should normally accompany the scanner. "Worked absolutely fine and painlessly for me on WinXP SP3. I have heard (and followed this advice) that you must install the driver BEFORE you plug the scanner in, and not while it's plugged in, so that may be where others are having problems.

I only tried using it with Windows' built-in Camera & Scanner Wizard, and not other scanner software, but that worked perfe

"Good if you have xp to install it on first, to get the firmware, and linux to run it in. Else it doesn't work (unless you have XP without Service pack 2 - which is a bad idea)"

"This driver does not work with Windows XP SP2 - the scanner is unrecognised as a device. Apparently it is a "known issue" with these rebranded Mustek scanners.
