"I have an original "Intellimouse Explorer USB" mouse. Intellipoint 5.4 and 6.1 wouldn't allow me to reassign the side buttons. Even the workaround (Article 303091) on Microsoft's site didn't work. Although XP will warn you that the driver is not compatible, I can now use my side buttons to copy and paste like I wanted!"

"this driver version does not work all the functions for Intellieye mouse, in Windows ME, the center double click is non functional after upgrade from Win 98 SE. I had to uninstall Win ME to get the center wheel to allow double click."

"Well, Microsoft has ONE site where they keep their mouse drivers... Considering the amount of mouses they sell I wonder how they were thinking planning the driver download side of their support, and IF they were thinking at all. I had a hard time trying to find the driver elswhere until I got to this page. Nice move, thanks!"
