p file and the checker will replace it with the one I have unzipped to that desktop file (NO Winzip, get it, IT IS FREE and easy to use).WAY#2 is the same but you dontrun the checker but it has a spot you can replace a single file with by typing in the one your replacing ,and again,browsing to your storage folder.Files don't have to be corrupt to replace or update them .WAY#3 If the driver IS NOT being used by your system as a required O.S.Operating System driver ,(To find the where the driver you are replacing resides)you can left click start/find/files or folders and type in the driver name (be accurate)eg.setupx.dll not setupxdll, after the search is complete on the right side of that find window you will have a complete list path to your driver, eg. C/windows/system/setupx.dll. Open your windows explorer and open the folder with your unzipped driver in it.Make sure you can see both file icons,then drag and drop the new file icon right onto the old one,it will ask you if you want to replace the old file with the new file.Click yes and it will happen unless your system is using that file presently.This method Way#3 can be dangerous be sure you have the right uncorrupted file. These ways are things I've done with great success sometimes I had to reinstall my O.S. The file checker is safer,copy the old file to another folder just like the file checker does you can even use the same backup it file uses.Also in system properties under software enviroment/software updates you will find your O.S.name with a number (mine is 410,0,2222)many of the drivers that were made or updated at the time or date of this O.S.number have the same build number.The driver kernel32.dll that I need is here at DriverGuide but 3 different K32.dll's can be found, after my downloads I right click the file and open properties to check the file number and also do this with my original file to see if it's the same number if it's a corrupt file I replace it with the same number. If it's an update I need I'll go to the higher number or ask the maker of the equipment I'm updating to give me the name and number of the file I need.
