"The only way I was able to get winxp to reconize my cdrw was to make sure of all the up dates to xp and use program called cd-maker 2000. Cheesy program but it was free and it works."

"I have a 7470. This did not fix my problem. Compaq has not provided any help. After three months of e-mails with them, I am now asked to modify or restet my BIOS. I am just a Novice. an e-mail from CompCrap telling me that my CD drive was a CompCrap manufactured and installed item. I asked for the FCC number but was not given it. Only a part number of 120893-001.Where do I find good drivers for what ever I have plugged into my CompCrap machine? John"

"i have just recently purchased a philips cdd4401/71 from e-bay w/o the drivers. i have installed it into my DELL PC and it still does not work. it opens and it reads and the "my computer" even has a drive letter and icon for it. but everytime i try to use my EZ CD CREATOR...it cannot recognize the CDRW drive. i checked all my wiring and the plugs, it has yet to work. do i
