How to install the modem driver
Downloading the modem592.exe to the c \windows\temp directory or a floppy drive a \
Close out your internet connection and exit all other applications/programs
Double click "My Computer". Double click on the drive and directory where the file is saved.
Double click the "Modem592.exe" file. From this point you should start to see the file self extract into the c \windows\temp directory.
A welcome screen will appear asking you "Do you want to install the drivers?" Click the "ok" button to continue with the installation or the "cancel" button to abort the installation. If you click the "ok" button, the modem driver will begin to install.
When installation is completed please reboot your computer

In Windows XP, click Start -> Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance -> System -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager button
Locate the device and model that is having the issue and double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
Select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button and follow the instructions.
In most cases, you will need to reboot your computer in order for the driver update to take effect.
