"After installing from a floppy disk, in add new hardware, i.e. modem, the driver is acknowledged as placed in the driver database (98se), but asks for a lucent installation disk. Now what???"

"Bought the modum for $1.00 downloaded and installed the driver. Shut down the computer, installed the modum. Went from 14.4K to 48K. Using a Compaq P75 w/34 Megs of RAM OS Win98. Thanx for the help!"

"Setup did not install modem (shown as Unknown in Device Manager), so I went into the Device Manager, selected the modem, selected Re-install Drivers, then pointed it to C:\Windows\Temp (or the location where you got the setup program to uninstall the program files to). Setup then picked it up and installed no problems.

Set up on a Lucent LTWinModem (56k) on an IBM Apti
