"I have a DV-5700A. How do I find out whether my firmware code is "\" or "Z"? I know my CURRENT firmware VERSION, but without the firmware code, I don't know what options are available for me to upgrade to."

"Retards posting twice! I Flashed my DVD from V1.50 to V1.91 successfully. The f/w code is either "/" or "Z" and you have to find a driver for whatever your Drive is. Good Luck. Multi-zone rocks."

"THIS FLASH! UPGRADE VER 3.43 DOES NOT WORK...BE VERY DOUBTFULL DOWNLOADING FIRMWARE UPGRADES AS I FLASHED MY DVD FROM V1.91-3.43 & NOW IT HAS CURUPTED PLAYBACK REG 2 DVD'S & I GET PROMPED WHEN I CHANGE BETWEEN REGION DVD'S..."

"Can I use it for my Nec DV-5700B? I didn't find any drivers for this.. so I try... it says me it doesn't recognize the regional code of DVD disc and doesnt' match with the DVD player reg. code..."
