"Found this driver by search for SMC1255TX Drivers for EMAchines W1500 that I have loaded Win 2K Pro on in place of XP Home.

This driver pack does not contain an installer and using re-install driver option in properties of Device Manager>Ethernet Card, it is unable to recognize any of .inf files and reports that it was unable to find a suitable driver."

"this card was a problem from the start though, it would not work with the disk and driver that came with it. Finally found a realtek driver that worked though
