"Hmm.. mixed opinion about this, so i decided to download it and try for myselfe. As so many has said before, it could be a driver, but as it is for now, its not complete. There is bouth .dll and .vdx files that is even refered to in the .inf's that is not present, and which ofcourse is needed. "am confused ... -S ... dunno wat to do... i need 6793-11/12, 6795-11/12 and lots of others... and comments here are disturbing..well ppl try to search for the files which are missing from this driver file by searching ur cd's if u have any driver deluxe cd. ) sometimes u find em.."

"Nope did not work either. My modem is from Dell Dimension xpm200s, and has a Conexant Diamond RH56D-PCI and R6795-12 chipset on modem card, I tried both drivers none worked. Sorry!"

"This driver did NOT work for me. I read a few of the other comments before trying to download it. It looks like it could be a driver, but the msetup.exe comes up without any titles on the buttons. I also tried pointing to the driver once Windows (98se) recognized the modem as a communications device on bootup. The modem DOES have the Rockwell R6793-12 chipset on it.&qu

"A customer brought one of those mystery modems in so I thuoght I would try this driver since we don't have any in our driver box in the store here. This driver is in fact missing most of it's files. Don't waste your time downloading it."

"This driver DOES WORK VERY WELL...I can prove this by typing this comment box. The reason why it didn't work for Jesica is that you need the conexant chipset R6795. As for Ric you need to force windows to be updated with these drivers, as long as you the R6795 chipset. But I wish to thank Pegasus1812, because I have been seaching for this driver for a long time..... Thanks

"the exe file opens nicely, but none of the selections appear and the buttons that do don't work when clicking on them. Am I doing something wrong? I'm working on a Compaq presario 5831, and trying to update my Conexant RH56D-PCI modem so it works with my Windows 2000 Professional o/s"
