"Agree with David. I miss all the important goodies when using win 98, so you have to deal with upgrade to win 2k/xp or keep this excellent printer working at 100% with the old win 98. The driver works ok in win 2k and xp, unless you want to make "specialities" in the SS 870 printer."

"This driver is NEC's half-hearted attempt to appease SS 870 users who upgraded to Win 2000. It lacks many of the Win 9x features and doesn't recognize additional memory installed (and in fact prints blank pages if you try and manually configure the memory setting). Too bad, because the printer was fine under Win 9x..."
