"Works great with US Robotics Sportster 33.6 Fax Modem with Personal Voice Mail, External (FCC Model Number: CJE-0375) (00117200) on Windows XP Home. You have to select your driver from a list if your COM Port does not support PnP. In this case open usrspv.inf then in the manufacturer column select 3Com Corp and in Models select U.S Robotics 33.6K Voice EXT Click next then

"Same with 00117102 modem, not a Winmodem, it is a hardware modem. I have heard you can use 568300 drivers with 117102 I'm off to try that now."

"USR modem 00117100 is NOT a Winmodem. It is a PNP hardware modem, with jumpers."
