"Used it for a modem that didn't have a manufacturer's label on it but it came with the following code on it: A-1688. Apparently it is a PCTel modem. The chip has this code printed on it: HSP688. Hope it will help you out. Other than that it worked out fine"

"installed easily,but BSOD as soon as modem started. this would happen every time. but in fairness only going on friends word that this was the drivers for his modem so may be using the wrong drivers!"

"Go to Start > Run > then type regedit and enter. select HKEY_LOCAL MACHINE then SOFTWARE then MICROSOFT then WINDOWS NT then CURRENT VERSION Change the version to Microsoft Windows 2000 Exit Regedit Install Windows 2000 driver If successful, go back to Regedit, and change back to Windows XP. This works with approx 70% of 2000 drivers on XP."

"We tried to load this with the Win2K and it still did not recognize the hardware. It also said that it was not MS certified but we said go ahead anyway. Still no luck! My modem has "HSP56Micromodem V.90/K56Flex" silkscreened on the card and it plugs into my motherboard. On the driver that came with it (Win95,98, NT4.0) it said that the Hardware ID is Unimodem04B124DA.
