"I tried this BIOS to upgrade an M530 motherboard from 10/18/96-i430VX-10031996C-00 to gain support for HDD larger than 8Gb. I had my new drive set as the secondary drive, but the BIOS hung, on every attempt, and refused to identify the hard disk - a Western Digital Caviar 40Gb. At least with the original BIOS, the drive was visible (although only 8Gb of it)."

"This update worked just fine! I never thought i could find an update for that motherboard... now i can boot from cd, scsi, zip, i could even put a Cyrx processor that before was incompatible... thanks a lot Brian!!!"
